PR-40 Vs RE-20
From 20cps to 120cps = The PR-40 matches the RE-20 Frequency Contour, but is about 2-3db down in amplitude from the RE-20 Baseline.
From 120cps to 140cps = They are both Very Close.
From 140cps to 210cps = The PR-40 is about 3-4db down in Amplitude from the RE-20 Baseline.
From 210cps to 2.8Kc = They are both very Close, within 1-2db of each other.
From 2.8Kc to 6Kc = The PR-40 has a slight Pre-emphasis in this area. There is a rise of about 4-5db in Amplitude over the RE-20 Baseline.
From 6Kc to 18Kc = I don't have enough voice energy in this area to make a valid comparison.
Heil Sound has established a reputation for innovation during the past 37 years in the live concert sound market, custom home theater industry and building the highest quality microphones for the amateur radio and communications market. Heil now enters the commercial broadcast and recording studio market with technological breakthrough products never before achieved or equaled.
Bob Heil introduces his incredible PR 40 featuring the new technology of the Heil DM 6 dynamic element with response down to 28 Hz. and stays perfectly flat up through 18kHz. with a beautiful mid range rise giving this new microphone gorgeous vocal articulation. It truly outperforms many of the current microphones that all use at least 30 year old technology. Gorgeous craftsmanship, high quality components and a beautiful champagne luster finish with the most articulate, natural sound from a dynamic, the PR 40 will soon become the sound industry standard.
In many blind A/B tests in a Burbank rehearsal hall, the Heil lab, and several major studios around the U.S. , this revolutionary Heil dynamic microphone exhibits amazingly clear, clean, natural sound that equals and surpasses many of the cheap condenser models that have recently flooded the U.S. market.

I use the EBtech with my W2IHY equipment to connect the audio to the rear 15 mic for the Yaesu FT 2000. Also with a second one for recording and playback with my MP3 player. It works great!!
Eliminates ground loop hum. Converts back and forth between balanced and unbalanced signals.
Silence AC hum forever! Do you hear a hum or buzz in your audio signal? Are long, unbalanced signals creating noise?
Almost all AC hum (60Hz in the U.S.) is caused by groundloops. Rather than filtering, the Hum Eliminator prevents groundloops from forming in the first place. Just plug the Hum Eliminator into the signal lines between offending pieces of equipment and you're done. Quick and easy.
No buzz. No signal degradation. No filtering. No noise gates. No dangerous ground lifts. No hum!
Eliminates AC hum quick and easy.
Breaks groundloops safely while leaving all signal grounds intact.
Automatically translates signal voltages to match differences in ground potentials, avoiding clipping.
Converts between balanced and unbalanced lines.
