FT 2000 as TX and Perseus as RX




So you are able to see the spectrum with the Perseus as RX and the FT 2000 transmit on the selected frequency...

To use the Perseus for RX with the Yaesu FT 2000 for TX do the following.

1. Install the software com0com from the following link to get a serial interface for the Perseus.

Install com0com and change the created serial ports to com 10 and com 11

2. Now connect HamradioDeluxe 4.03 to the Yaesu FT 2000. Make sure it works...
3. Open a second HamradioDeluxe software and use there for example IC-R8500 for the Perseus connection. Use com11 for setup and speed to auto detect. Use CI-V as default.....
(Now you can find under Icom the Perseus RX)
4. Now do the following .....



5. Start SYNC on the top of HRD and SCAN then select Master for the Perseus and click start.

Now you are able to change the frequenzy on the Perseus and the Yaesu FT 2000 will follow...

6. Connect the Antenna input of the Perseus to the Yaesu FT 2000 RX Antenna out BNC connector. Switch the FT 2000 button Antenna in front of the FT 2000 to RX.
7. Minimise HRD and Sync and use the Perseus software.
Now you are able to change the frequency on the Perseus and the FT 2000 has the same frequency ........ THE TRX will follow.....the Perseus....
